Kicking for Kids Foundation was established in 2017 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) to provide opportunities for youth who would benefit from martial arts instruction. With over 40% of the 125 students being from families who are experiencing a financial hardship and do not have the ability to pay the full tuition, we began the foundation to help provide scholarships. In addition, we partner with our area schools and other nonprofit organizations to raise money for our mentoring program and to offer other activities and classes throughout the year.

Mission: Our Mission is to provide exceptional martial arts training in a family-focused environment that encourages each student to achieve their own personal victory, pilsung. Values Pilsung is achieved through having strength of character, mind, and body, and following the tenants of martial arts.

The Five Tenants of Martial Arts:
  • Courtesy: Acknowledging that the world is bigger than self by showing care for others before one’s self. 
  • Integrity: Developing a moral code to guide your thoughts and actions by showing honesty for others and for yourself. 
  • Perseverance: Being determined to win, no matter what, by never giving up. 
  • Self-Control: Having the willpower to see, choose, and do what is right by taking control over the way you behave. 
  • Respect: Honoring yourself and others by appreciating, regarding, and serving others.

The Kicking for Kids Foundation along with North Metro Martial Arts, is a Partner in Education with Cobb County Schools. All instructors are approved mentors through the school district.

Mr. Scott Tasker

Mr. Scott Tasker:  With over 27 years of experience in martial arts instruction, the Executive Director, Mr. Scott Tasker has a unique gift of relating to his students. He supports them to become the best form of who they are meant to be; whether in sports, school, or as a member of their community. Students not only gain a sense of self-control, discipline, and respect, they also develop pro-social and life skills through the variety of programs that are offered.

Board Vice Chair, Mr. William Payne, President, ICP Systems, LLC

Mr. William Payne founded ICP Systems LLC (ICP) in June 2009. ICP is a Georgia-based S Corporation. ICP is a SBA-certified 8(a) Program Participant, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Certified Veteran Enterprise (CVE) [Registered in the VA’s VetBiz repository], Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) professional services and technology firm registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).

Mr. Payne is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Company’s long-term strategy and vision, building a culture, and team building. Ultimately, Mr. Payne is responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and implementing the Company’s long and short-term plans. Mr. Payne is a Navy veteran and was recognized as the Navy’s Far East Sailor-of-the Year in 1985.

Mr. Payne is an accomplished IT Professional with more than 25 years of direct industry experience. Graduating at the top of his class with a Computer Science Degree and Summa Cum Laude honors, Mr. Payne became the face of Columbia Southern University for two consecutive years while the college promoted an international marketing campaign featuring Mr. Payne entitled, “Thank you for Inspiring Change.” As with his leadership, ICP promotes change within an ever-growing technology environment. ICP embraces change, as proven within the quality and services of leadership, solid past performances and commitment from employees. 

Mr. Payne is active within professional and community organizations such as the Project Management Institute (PMI), PMI Program Management Office SIG (PMOSIG), ASQ – American Society for Quality, GTPAC – Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center, Delta Epsilon Tau Honor Society, and lifetime member of AFCEA. Mr. Payne has contributed to various local and national charity organizations.

Mr. Cash has over thirty years of experience in environmental services, having developed and operated numerous solid waste handling facilities, recycling facilities and collection companies. Over the last fifteen years, he has implemented progressive practices into his solid waste operations and is highly regarded as an industry expert in recycling, waste diversion, air space conservation and landfill reclamation. Mr. Cash founded Cash Development, LLC and Cash Environmental Resources, LLC in 1997—with the primary business focus in environmental stewardship and environmental development.
