Kicking For Kids & North Metro Martial Arts
Covid-19 update:

We have spent the past few days carefully considering how we should proceed as the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves and schools have closed. Here at Kicking For Kids and North Metro Martial Arts our families’ health and safety are our highest priority and we want to be sensitive to the needs of all of our parents and students.

At this time we have decided to continue with all of our programming as normally scheduled, including our after school programming. We are taking precautionary measures in accordance with guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and local health authorities to protect the health of our community. These measures include taking precautions to insure the studio and equipment are sanitized and disinfected throughout the day every day and that we have hand sanitizer available for all to use.

We understand that not everyone will be able or willing to come to our regular group classes so please read below for other options we are offering. Also, please adhere to the following regarding attendance of classes.
Drink lots of extra water.
Wash hands regularly, before and right after attending classes.

Per the CDC, physical contact should be avoided and social distancing should be maintained. (avoid handshakes, high fives, etc.)

DO NOT come if you have…
Fever
– Cough
– Shortness of Breath
If you have any of these symptoms please stay home and contact your doctor.

ASP

We cannot provide transportation for after school but we will be in the studio at 2:45 everyday for drop off.

Kids will go through the regular asp curriculum… Snack, Martial Arts Class, Mentoring Time, Social/Relax Time.

We are in the final weeks of belt rank test prep and most students should know their required curriculum at this point.

Kids may be dropped off at 2:45 and picked up anywhere from 4:00-6:00
Regular tuition applies.

For those that cannot attend in person we will send out curriculum reminders for each belt rank and request that your child video their practice and send to me for review. This is a great way to get individualized critique when you cannot be here in person.

Parents please contact us to let us know if you will be attending in person or if you will be doing the online training.

Evening Classes

Our evening classes will be held on our normal schedule here at the studio

We are in the final weeks of belt rank test prep and most students should know their required curriculum at this point.

We will focus on the following in class:
– Forms
– Board Breaks
– Sticks
– Rolls
– Falls

Monday night grappling class is cancelled until further notice

Remote Training

For those that are unable to physically come to the studio for classes we hope that you will participate in our email/video training sessions.

Since we are at the tail end of our testing cycle most students should have a grasp of their requirements so we will email all students testing prep sheets. These will outline all curriculum that will be tested.

We will also send a suggested training schedule each week.

Students should make a video of their practices and email to NorthMetroMartialArts@gmail.com. Mr. Tasker will review and comment on each of them so you can get individualized critiques.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available throughout each day. 24 hour notice is required to accommodate scheduling.

Lessons can be scheduled from 12:00PM-4:30PM. Each private lesson will last 15 minutes.

Cost will be $5 per private lesson scheduled. Private lessons will be taught by Junior Black Belts under the direction of Mr. Tasker.

We hope that this information is helpful. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to call 404-500-9701. We are here to help. And, finally, thank you for investing in your Child’s future here at Kicking For Kids and North Metro Martial Arts.

Sincerely,
Scott and Jennifer Tasker
